pH TEST STRIPS

You can use these strips to measure the degree of acidosis and alkalosis in the body. See Figure 6. Simply put when urinating on a pH strip it turns into a certain colour which gives an indication of the acidity or alkalinity of your urine. The colour of the strip is compared with the colour scheme attached to the set of strips. When the strip shows an alkaline reaction this means that now you are disposing of bicarbonate ions with which the body is filled in amount more than necessary and when there is an acidic reaction it means that you are disposing of hydrogen ions.

When you consume alkaline foods or when breathing deeply and take more oxygen then you induce into your body metabolic and/or respiratory alkalosis and when you are not moving enough through the day, feed yourself with acidic food (not to be confused with stomach acids) and your breathing is limited for some reason - smoking, high altitude, etc., then you induce into yourself metabolic and/or respiratory acidosis. What is an alkaline reaction? "Al-kali" from Arabic language means "Plant ash containing sodium carbonate." Acid-alkaline scale starts at 0 and ends at 14. The more the reaction of one substance is close to zero according to this scale the more acidic it is (strong acids) and vice versa the most alkaline are the products having reaction close to 14 (strong bases). Neutral pH has a value of 7 for example tap water. In contrast, the seawater is slightly alkaline with a pH from 7.4 to 8.5.

When talking about alkaline and acidic foods many people confuse their taste with their chemical alkalinity or acidity which only affects the body. This is the reaction of the pH litmus paper caused by dissolved in water ash of a product which has been pre-carbonized in an incinerator (oven developing temperature of at least 1000⁰C). The most striking example can be given with lemon. It is sour in taste but its litmus reaction is one of the most alkaline among foods and is equal to pH9-9.5.

To determine if your body is in good health you need to explore your alkaline-acid reaction. Make yourself a calendar for 30 days in which you have to record three times a day - in the morning, noon and evening time measurement results. If in the majority of the time readings of pH strips are slightly above pH7 then you are really in good health and your body is has good alkaline reserve. If this is not so and the average of the readings of pH strips is below 7 then you are in a state of permanent hypoxia and it is needed to make significant changes in your diet and exercise.
