High Heart Rate

High heartbeat is caused by lack of oxygen in the body. In this condition the chemoreceptors in Glomus Caroticum measure oxygen saturation and inhibit (delay) the operation of the vagal nerve aiming to increase the heart rate and maintaining the oxygen supply to the brain. High heart rate is caused by excessive filling of the stomach with food. Should this happen dissolve in some water 20-30 drops of hawthorn tincture and drink the mixture. You can take along with that one tablet of the plant extract Alora (sold in pharmacies).

Helpful are also tablets of Validol and Neuropan (Valerian, Hawthorn and Mint) - soothe the nervous system by activating the work of the vagal nerve to reduce the heart rate.

The pulse is controlled by the will so that you can calm it by beginning to breathe more slowly.

Lose weight as a long term measure to reduce it. Every heart beat at a frequency over 80 beats/minute at rest is pathological. Antihistamines increase heart rate. Excessive increase of histamine in the body (for example allergies) leads to a low pulse.
