Twisting of the spermatic cord. It is caused by a hit into the groin mostly in ball game in childhood. The hit causes twisting of the spermatic cord and related blood vessels thereto. Blood supply to the testicle is interrupted and it becomes necrotic. Consult immediately with traumatologist and if you are late in reacting it is mandatory to be made testectomy (removal of the testicles). The maximum period to react is 15 minutes to 1 hour. Therefore, if your child comes to you with pain in the groin after playing football or for any other reason pay attention. Negligence can have fatal consequences!
